January & February Collective Shopping haul!

This is everything I've purchased within the last 2 months! I've been meaning to put this up but I kept adding on little by little so this is going to be a long post...

Macy's

Material Girl geometric top $1.99 (org. $28)

Kohl's

They were having an amazing clearance sale! All clearance was an additional 25% off and when you spend $100 or more, you get an additional 20% off on top of the extra clearance savings! The prices below are what I paid after all discounts. You also get back $10 in kohl's cash for every $50 you spend. My mom and I ended up getting $20 in KC!

pink/ charcoal/ black houndstooth print sweater (org. $36) $6.48

Princess Vera Wang black dress w/ bow (org. $78) $9.36

Hello Kitty glasses shirt (org. $20) $1.20

pink tree skirt (org. $19.99) $3.19

picture frame (org. $17.99) $2.15

Sonoma moccasin slippers (org. $28) $3.36

Victoria's Secret

I wasn't planning on making an order from Victoria's secret online but they sent me a few email offers that were way too good to pass up! I got a free shipping code, $10 off an order code, and 20% off one clearance item code. I used all 3 codes to get this swim top for only $5 shipped to my door! plus I had a giftcard which means I paid nothing!I may end up exchanging this for a larger size because it seems a little small.

Madi bandeau swim top in Electric leopard (org. $28.50)

Victoria's Secret Outlet

I went to the outlet in the next state over with my family and picked up a swim top because they were only $9.99! I couldn't find the matching bottoms but maybe I'll try the one near me. This was an amazing deal and If they had more patterns/colors I would have bought more! I paid with a giftcard:)

Gorgeous halter bikini top in neon coral (org. $44.50)

Kohl's trip #2

my mom had to use up the kohl's cash we got last week and I only found one thing.

burgundy Soffee shorts $2.40 (org. $8)

Target trip 1

2 Neutrogena face wash trial size$0.97ea.

I used 2 $1 off neutrogena facial cleanser coupons from the newspaper (because they did not exclude trial sizes) so those became free! I'm also eyeing a few Target purses so hopefully they go on sale soon! I bought a pair of patterned pants but will return them because they make my butt look saggy!

Target trip 2

Rose Gold wallet $3.88 (org. $12.99)

My mom got this wallet in Silver during the 1st Target trip but they did not have the rose gold one (the one I really wanted!) so I was bummed. I happened to pass by another Target and found this beauty! It was 70% off so it was a killer deal!

Abercrombie & Fitch

red/pink floral jeggings in 0 (org. $78) $7.47

I never try things on but figured these would fit BUT these are a bit too tight around the waist (but I plan on losing some chub around my stomach/hips since I was a bit lazy this winter) I bought these in a 0 because it was the only size left besides a size 8. Also, they were marked $24.90 + an additional 70% off clearance but rang up more so I kindly told the cashier and got these for only $7.47! Plus these remind me of Valentine's Day!

Hollister

blue/navy stripe top in Small (org. $19.50) $4.17

The sleeves are a bit tight :( but will look cute with black leggings!

plaid PJ shorts in Small (org. $ ) $4.47

I caved and bought these.... I always wanted plaid pjs and these were too cute and under $5!

Target trip 3

pink crossbody purse (org. $19.99) $5.98
(the picture shows it a bit lighter than it is in real life. It's more magenta/dark pink)

I found this in the clearance section for 70% off! I really like the inside because the fabric design is small black/white polka dots. It also has compartment/dividers inside the purse making it super convenient! At first I wasn't sure if I should buy it but then I grew to love it even more and now I think it's perfect! This is regular price online and they have it in many colors: black, blue, yellow, etc.

Macy's

red XOXO strapless dress $9.16 (org. $68)
I LOVE this dress! I've always wanted a red dress and this one fits me so well:)

pink Material Girl lace peplum dress $9.16 (org. $44)
Another perfect dress! I got this in a Medium and it fits like a glove! However the peplum is a bit asymmetrical which looks weird to me so I may alter it.

The best part is that I had a 15% off pass code on my phone but lost reception and couldn't get it to pull up so the cashier told me I could come back and get refunded the difference if I could pull it up again. So after spending what felt like forever (5 minutes) trying to get it, I paid and left without the discount. A few steps later I got better reception and went to the nearest register to ask them to do a return & rebuy with the discount. The cashier scanned the Material Girl dress (which is cheaper!) twice by accident instead of scanning both dresses so I saved a few bucks! Instead of paying $16 for the red, I paid $9 for it!

H&M

black pencil skirt $1 (org. $24.95)

A long black skirt is a staple piece in any girls wardrobe. I had a $6 Wrapp giftcard for taking a survey and since this was on sale for $7 I thought it was a great deal at $1!

Sears

black plush lined tights $7 (org. $10)

I've always wanted fleece lined leggings and these are pretty similar! These were the last ones in stock so I figured it was meant to be but I tried them on when I got home and they stretch so much that they become kind of see thru ( i hate this!) I usually buy leggings/tights like this a size or 2 larger so they remain opaque.

Kohls

I went to Kohl's 2 times in the past 2 weeks and the first time, I used a 20% off mailer & a $5 off $25 coupon. My mom and I spent so much that we got $30 in Kohl's cash! The second time, we had the $30 KC, $5 off $25 coupon & 15% off your purchase mailer! The prices I paid were a little lower than what I listed below because I didn't want to do all that math lol.

pink chevron tank $2

gray sweater $4.48

pink hoodie $7.20

pink & white striped dress $4

Champion mens gray hoodie

pink/ silver rhinestone bangle $2.40
teal/ gold rhinestone bangle $2.40
black/ silver rhinestone bangle $2.40

Simply Vera gray maxi skirt $5.40

2 gray athletic shorts $2.60

beige casual blazer $4.80

black ribbed tank top $1.40

Best Buy

Jack & Jill DVD $4.99
Grown ups DVD $4.99

I paid $4.99 for each movie and got back 2 $5 Best Buy giftcards because of an online promotion they were running. They are basically free! Plus I've never seen these movies before so I thought it was a great deal.

Rite Aid shopping 2/10-2/16

Trip 1

  • 4 Skintimate
  • 3 light bulbs
  • 2 colgate 360 toothbrushes
  • 2 lindt dark chocolate truffles
 coupons used
  1.  10% off shopping pass
  2. (2) BOGO skintimate coupons max $3 (printable)
  3. (3) $3 off light bulbs (In Ad Q)
  4. (2) $.50 off colgate toothbrushes
  5. (2) $3 off lindt item (printable)
* Annoyed because I did not receive 10% off my non sale items (shave gels), however the cashier manually gave me $3.29 off the shave gels when the max was $3 because that scanner is iffy at working. I paid almost $1 more than I should have and I could have bypassed this since I was only 30 points away from reaching silver status where you get 10% off any non sale item automatically!*

I paid $1.51 +tax ($3) and got back $32 in UP rewards!

 Trip 2

  • 2 bulbs
  • zyrtec 5ct
  • 2 colgate 360 toothbrushes
  • ritz cheese crackers (filler item)
coupons used
  1. (2) $3 off light bulbs (In Ad Q)
  2. (2) $.50 off colgate toothbrushes
  3. $13 in UP rewards
I paid $0.46 & got back $9 in UP rewards!

I may go back tomorrow but I'm not sure yet since I'm running out of room for things lol.

Trip 3

  • 4 colgate toothbrushes
  • 2 L'oreal Revitalift creams
  • 1 L'oreal Revitalift day lotion
  • 1 L'oreal Revitalift eye cream
  • ritz crackers (I already ate these because I was stressed about this trip which I'll explain!)

coupons used:

  1. (4) $5 off L'oreal Revitalift (RA coupon)
  2. $1 off L'oreal skin care item (newspaper)
  3. $42 in UP rewards

Okay now onto my rant... First, it's not RA's fault. It's mine. So I have 2 RA cards, one for me, one for my mom. I wanted to start doing deals on her card as well which is why I bought the toothbrushes; they are $2.99 and gave $2 in UPs limit 4. Since I already did that deal on my card I needed to use hers to get the rewards. BUT I didn't get my moms card in the mail yet so I gave the cashier my phone # and it turns out I gave the wrong number! I gave the number linked to MY account, not hers. So I wasted $12 in rewards on toothbrushes and I'm kicking myself because I could have used that on another deal. *sigh* seriously, spending $12 on toothbrushes (even if it is only reward money) makes my skin CRAWL! But I did get a great deal on dresses today & I saved about $11 extra so I guess it balanced out...

Alright, now I can tell you I only paid $0.43 cents +tax for all this and got back $30 in rewards so it wasn't that bad of a mistake... I just have to keep telling myself that lol.

I don't see many UP rewards that interest me this week but I can stock up on razors for the guys in my family for cheap! I ordered some Nivea lip coupons and some Schick Hydro coupons from Ebay just for this week so if you want these deals, get your coupons ASAP as they increase in price when in high demand!

This is my personal plan (of attack! LOL):

30 nivea lip items (giving some away to family/friends)
9 Schick Hydro 5 disposables (the guys in my house will be happy!)
2 Schick Hydro Silk razors
2 Poise

I plan to pay $2 + pre-coupon tax <~ this KILLS me! I pay about $4 in tax for each transaction
*sigh* So basically my goal is to get below $15 for this entire week, tax included!

This weeks haul will be up later this week. The snowstorm has interfered with my trips to RA and I still need to finish up 2 transactions!

Where do I find my coupons?

When I started couponing, I would mainly use printable coupons from the internet since they were easy to access. Then last month I began transitioning into using newspaper coupons. This way I didn't waste all my printer ink because that stuff is expensive!!

Since the big snow storm Nemo came and gave my area nearly 3 feet of snow, there was no way I could get to the store on Sunday to buy the paper. I was sad I missed out on the coupons so I visited a few coupon clipping sites (they're kind of pricey!). I checked out Ebay and they sell some coupons in bundle sets for only $1 or so shipped!

I ordered 3 sets of coupons for items I plan on buying in the next few weeks and paid less than $4 for all of them. The coupon value for the 3 sets total to $143! That is a lot of savings!

Here's a quick breakdown on coupon prices on Ebay (based on my purchases).

15 Nivea lip coupons $1.55 +free shipping!
each coupon is only $0.10 each!

20 Schick hydro coupons $1.00 +free shipping!
Each coupon is only $.05 each!

I noticed that coupon clipping sites were about priced about $.10-$.50 PER coupon + shipping fees! Some even required a minimum purchase amount. Ebay is definitely the way to go (at least for me!) This is better deal to me since I look at the upcoming weeks sales ad and can pick out which specific Qs I need and have multiples without spending $3 per newspaper! Now I spend about $3 and get multiples of coupons I actually use!
